AI Anatomy

Understanding Where AI Exists in the Enterprise

An AI anatomy model helps organizations understand where AI exists in the enterprise and what it touches — from models and agents to data, identity, infrastructure, and human operators.

Research Model

Before an enterprise can assess the condition created by AI, it must understand its AI anatomy — the full landscape of AI components, connections, dependencies, and authorities that exist within the organization.

An AI anatomy model helps organizations understand where AI exists in the enterprise and what it touches. Not every enterprise uses every component.

AI System Registry

EII is developing an AI System Registry as an organizational tool for documenting AI systems, their owners, authority levels, and dependencies. Organizational AI registries are not exposed publicly.

Not every enterprise uses every component. The anatomy model is a framework for understanding, not a requirement that all components must be present.
